Have you ever wanted to know and learn what it takes to bring your project from the conceptual stage to a full solo exhibition? Join us for a deep dive discussion with Arizona artist BrassTuna, aka Adam Corona as they present the full creative process of their solo exhibition Sometimes While Growing Up, You Find Yourself at Eric Fischl Gallery at Phoenix College. BrassTuna will guide attendees through the entire process, from initial concept and securing funding to the collaborative effort of directing and executing the physical exhibition presentation. They will share discovering the journey of building authentic relationships with participants, developing the artistic vision through sketches and renderings, and the logistical challenges of developing material preparation and installation. The discussion will also cover strategies for community engagement and necessary/unnecessary materials for physical exhibition design. The session will conclude with Q&A.
