Full Circle: Looking Back To Move Forward A Solo Exhibition By Loren Yagoda

The Exhibition
Join us for a retrospective solo exhibition celebrating the artistic journey of Loren Yagoda. The exhibition brings together select past works alongside a new series that reflects a return to her foundational visual language.

While Full Circle stands as one of Yagoda’s most recognized paintings, this exhibition reaches further into her practice, revisiting the quiet, minimalist sensibility that shaped her earliest years in art school. Her newest paintings reflect a refined return to simplicity, where space is honored, gesture is restrained, and color is distilled until it becomes the subject itself.

A persistent architectural impulse runs throughout Yagoda’s work, shaped by a lifelong fascination with structure and a frustration of not becoming an architect. Her enduring exploration of stripes, a signature obsession, functions as both structure and rhythm. Often guided by a ruler, Yagoda introduces discipline and precision into the work, allowing intuition to unfold within defined boundaries.

The Setting
The exhibition is hosted at b-art, a modern, industrial gallery founded by Andy Byrnes of Construction Zone. The scale, proportion, and architectural clarity of the Downtown Phoenix space provide a natural setting for Yagoda’s work, which has long resonated with architects and designers.

Byrnes has been an advocate for Yagoda’s work since the earliest stages of her career. Decades ago, he provided her with a street-level studio within the Construction Zone space, offering early support that helped shape her practice. Today, their collaboration comes full circle. Together, Yagoda and Byrnes are seasoned mentors to architects and artists throughout the Valley and beyond, grounded in shared values of modernism, quiet simplicity, and thoughtful structure.
