I Speak for Them: Rose-Helene Spreiregen

Rose-Helene Spreiregen, born in Paris in 1931, recounts her childhood as a Jewish girl in occupied France. Forced to flee repeatedly, she survived terrifying checkpoints, roundups, and years in hiding with her grandmother after her mother was arrested and deported to Auschwitz. Helped by courageous neighbors, Rose-Helene endured fear, separation and loss during the war. After liberation, she finished her studies and pursued a career in banking. She later settled in the U.S. with her husband and is a volunteer at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. A Q&A will follow the interview.
