X | Senior BFA Exhibition
April 20 – 23 | Gallery 100
Opening reception | April 21 | 5 – 7 p.m.
“X” is a multidisciplinary BFA exhibition at Gallery 100 that features the work of 10 emerging artists: Shalini Batra, Molly Devine, Braedon Foundos, Nathan Garcia, Julia Gavaletz, Kelly Graber, Evelyn Guerra, Louis Kline, Josh Laggis, and Erik Velasquez. Through photography, painting, and sculptural work, “X” reflects the collective energy and distinct creative voices of these artists coming together to shape a shared experience. “X,” whether read as roman numeral 10 or an unknown variable, does not attempt to unify, but rather to signal a multitude of voices. Through a wide range of explorations of culture, identity, landscapes, human connection and the animal world, the exhibition highlights both personal inquiry and technical growth. As a culminating senior exhibition, “X” demonstrates not only the development of each artist’s craft but also traces the evolutions of their conceptual thinking. The exhibition serves as a powerful showcase of the skills, experimentation, and critical engagement cultivated throughout their academic journey.
